I love swings! So I'm out there swinging up a storm, sorting the swing-wheat from the swing-chaff and rating them for the heck of it .... enjoy

The ingredients of a fine swinging experience (according to me)
- swinging at night is especially good
- the right height - it's awesome if your feet barely touch the ground
- listening to stereolab, particularly 'cybele's reverie'
- someone to push you
- not too many (preferably no) children around to remind you that swings are no longer for your exclusive use.
- or.... if there are children around, they have to be as fun as the kids I met in my 'learning from the pros' post
- lack of unsettling ger-dunks
- ability to touch surrounding trees with feet/other body parts whilst swinging
- lack of squeak
- conducive surroundings
- adult-friendly seat width
